30 Day Self help Challenge

Sometimes, the most transformative ideas emerge from unexpected moments. That is exactly what happened when one of our customers, Counselling First, came across our latest release: Grid Mission 05 – Confront the Grey Voices.

It all began when Counselling First received one of our weekly newsletters about the newly launched Grid Mission. Intrigued, they purchased our digital challenge and dived right into the activities. Shortly after, we received a message that took us by surprise: “Is this based on CBT theory?”

Now, here’s the funny part – none of us at Team Gridmoves have any formal background in CBT. In fact, some of us had not even heard of it! The activities in Grid Mission 05 came purely from our hearts, inspired by personal experiences and our deep desire to foster self-growth.

Counselling First, came across our latest release: Grid Mission 05 – Confront the Grey Voices.

Our client, Counselling First, was clearly impressed and saw something in our work that resonated with CBT concepts, even if we had not intended it. They were so impressed, in fact, that they asked us to turn Grid Mission 05 into a workshop for their graduating counselling students at the Counselling & Psychotherapy Training Academy. Without missing a beat, we took on the challenge with just two weeks to prepare, transforming Grid Mission 05 into a live experience. And just like that, our workshops were born.

Workshop Day

On the day of the workshop, we delivered our first session to a group of final-year counselling students. These students were able to connect the Grid’s activities and ideas to concepts from their own studies, adding a fresh perspective on self-reflection and growth that complemented their curriculum. For us, this was a pivotal moment, with rewards threefold:

  • We created an experience that enhanced the students’ understanding of their field.

  • We deepened their personal journeys of self-discovery.

  • We equipped them with practical tools they could one day use with their own clients as professional counsellors.

The outcome? 2 more Workshops...

Our client was delighted, and the students were fully engaged – especially with the hands-on practical activities and, of course, the giveaways. We received incredible feedback, ideas for improvement, and an unexpected invitation to deliver 2 more workshops that same week! Cue our happy dance!

By the time the second workshop rolled around, we had a surprise guest—the Counselling First chief herself! She joined in, participating from start to finish, fully immersed in every single activity. It was beyond rewarding to see her experience the benefits of the workshop for herself. She told us she felt refreshed, inspired, and energised, which for us was a bonus that made all our hard work even sweeter.

What is even better? Word spread. After our 2nd workshop, we gained 2 more clients who wanted us to bring the Grid experience to their teams.

Our takeaways for any Entrepreneur or Creator reading this:

  1. Stay sharp to the needs of your clients.

  2. Move fast to embrace new opportunities.

  3. Show up every day with high belief – someone near you is getting ready to bless you!

  4. You may not see the entire vision from where you stand, but keep moving forward anyway.

We didn't see it - at first!

This journey taught us a valuable lesson: some of the best ideas are right under your nose. Delivering the Gridlife Experience through workshops feels like the obvious way to bring our vision to life—helping people reflect on their past, embrace their present, and dream big for the future. After all, that is what we are known for—creating practical tools for personal growth!

A massive thank you to Counselling First for believing in us and pushing us into this new chapter. We cannot wait to see what lies ahead.
