10 Reasons Why This Workshop
Supports Addiction Recovery
1. Silences the Self-Doubt That Fuels Relapse
Many individuals in recovery struggle with thoughts like, I will never change or I do not deserve happiness. This workshop helps dismantle those limiting beliefs and replace them with confidence-building affirmations.
2. Teaches How to Recognise and Disarm the Inner Critic
The Grey Voices—negative, self-sabotaging thoughts—are often loud in recovery. This workshop provides a structured framework to identify, challenge, and silence them before they lead to destructive behaviours.
3. Provides a Clear, Actionable Mindset Shift
The workshop introduces the Grid Metaphor, helping participants understand where they are mentally and how to shift from a space of negativity (Grey Grid) into a more empowered state (Green or Orange Grid).
4. Helps Break the Cycle of Shame and Guilt
Recovery often comes with deep feelings of regret. The workshop guides participants through reflective exercises that allow them to acknowledge their growth rather than dwell on past mistakes.
5. Offers the 13-Step Grey Voice Defence Process
This structured process provides a practical, step-by-step method for confronting negative self-talk in the moment, giving participants a tangible way to stop destructive thoughts before they take hold.
6. Builds Self-Compassion and Confidence
Negative self-talk erodes self-esteem. This workshop helps participants reshape their inner dialogue to be more supportive, encouraging, and aligned with their recovery goals.
7. Reinforces the Power of Personal Growth
By reflecting on past mindset shifts, participants can clearly see the progress they have made, reinforcing their ability to continue moving forward.
8. Equips Participants with Long-Term Mental Tools
The workshop’s workbook and exercises are designed for continued use, allowing individuals to maintain their progress beyond the session and integrate these mindset strategies into their daily lives.
9. Encourages a Shift from Survival Mode to Thriving
Addiction recovery is not just about staying clean; it is about creating a fulfilling life. This workshop helps participants move from a place of fear and self-doubt to one of confidence and purpose.
10. Fosters a Mindset of Possibility and Self-Belief
The ultimate goal of this workshop is to reprogram the mind to believe in success and self-worth. By learning to challenge and reframe negative thoughts, participants can begin to see new opportunities for themselves beyond addiction.
