There are levels to affirmations

At Grid Society, we believe there are levels to affirmations.

Inspired by our Vol. 3: Pattern Recognition Workbook, we have created 50 morning affirmations for ghosting and texting designed to help you stop overanalysing messages, recognise your communication patterns, stop questioning your worth when somebody goes silent and start the day without waiting for a notification.

You can start by repeating the affirmations on their own, pair them with inner work, or build them into your morning routine and return to them whenever unanswered messages start taking over your thoughts.

Our interest in subjects like ghosting, overanalysing messages and communication habits has grown through our Grid Society dating workshops, where these patterns often show up in conversations about dating, relationships, boundaries and self-worth.

We have seen how powerful it can be when somebody finally has the language to recognise the habit of overanalysing messages, question their assumptions and stop allowing somebody else's communication habits to determine how they feel about themselves.

Reciting Affirmations.

Reciting Affirmations and doing the inner work.

Reciting Affirmations, doing the inner work and making it part of your lifestyle.

Adding affirmations to your vision board for reinforcement.

Start here. Repeat them.

Level one:

We challenge you to read all 50 slowly and intentionally

If you are serious about changing the way you speak to yourself, we challenge you to read all 50 right now.

Do not skim them. Do not rush through them while doing something else.

  • Read them slowly.
  • Say them intentionally.
  • Say them as though you mean them.
  • Let the words settle into your mind.

Come back tomorrow and do it again.

Repeat for the next 7 days.

The aim is that when you find yourself overanalysing messages, waiting for a reply or wondering why somebody has gone silent, you already have different language ready. When the Grey Voices  start getting louder, you have words that bring your attention back to yourself.

You have statements that challenge the urge to reread conversations, search for hidden meanings or question your worth because somebody has not replied.

You have something stronger to reach for instead of allowing somebody else's communication habits to determine how you feel about yourself.

Level two:

Affirmations and inner work: the winning combo

Affirmations hit differently when you do the inner work.

Repeating I do not need to overanalyse every message I receive is one thing.

Recognising when you start checking your phone, rereading conversations, looking for hidden meanings and questioning your worth because somebody has not replied gives those words much more meaning.

This is why we created Volume 3 in our Pattern Recognition Collection. Inside, there are 36 ghosting and texting patterns for you to look through and ask yourself:

(1) Which patterns are you struggling with

(2) Which patterns are you happy with?

(3) Which patterns need to be deleted immediately?

(4) Which patterns will need more time to work on and implement into your life?

You can use the workbook to answer the new questions inside it, monitor your ghosting and texting patterns and notice what keeps showing up over the next four weeks.

Some days you might use the workbook for five minutes. Other days, one unanswered message or communication pattern might keep you there much longer.

Once you can recognise your ghosting and texting patterns clearly, you have something real to work with.

Level three:

Affirmations, Inner Work - Create your Morning Lifestyle

This is where it gets good.

Café. Matcha. Inner work. Affirmations.

Saturday morning. Sunday morning. A café you love. Your workbook is open and, for once, you are paying attention to your own thoughts instead of wondering why somebody has not replied to your message.

You are checking in with your thinking, catching the urge to overanalyse conversations and noticing which ghosting and texting patterns keep repeating.

You might work through a few pages, write down what you recognise and use the workbook prompts to look at the pattern more closely. Then finish by reading the affirmations that bring your attention back to your own worth, your own boundaries and your own life.

You can do all of that in less than hour.
