The Grid Society Blog: A new way to navigate your thoughts. (@thisisgridlife)
Updated: 4 days ago
One of the things we hear all the time at Grid Society is:
I don’t know whether I’m coming or going. What can I read quickly to sort my head out?
The Problem:
Mental Fog, Overthinking, Recurring Patterns, Spirals and Confusion
Most of us spend our days being pulled around by our thoughts. Whether it is a loud inner critic, a lack of boundaries, comparing ourselves to others or getting stuck in the loop of overthinking without moving forward, these problems can create a mental fog that affects different areas of our lives.
It is an unclear vision for the future, unorganised mornings where you feel heavy and behind, or tension in your personal life and relationships. It can even show up in the complexities of dating, people-pleasing, ignoring red flags, or repeating the same mistakes. It is the feeling of being stuck in your own thinking, without anything actually changing, and knowing you need a new way to navigate your thoughts.
1/ What the Grid Society blog helps you to do
The Grid Society blog focuses on inner work, self-reflection and pattern recognition, helping you understand the thinking patterns and behaviours influencing different areas of your life.
Built around our 7 Pattern Recognition Workbooks, we explore real-life challenges including comparison, people pleasing, ghosting, negative self-talk, limiting beliefs, repeated mistakes and empty success.
We also introduce you to the Grid Society philosophy and Universal Grid, alongside practical exercises, affirmations, workshop experiences and fresh perspectives to help you recognise patterns and decide your next move.

2/ Explore the topics we cover
Our blog explores the everyday challenges that influence how we think, feel and behave. Rather than offering vague self-help advice, we organise our articles into focused topics, making it easier to find relevant insights, practical exercises and opportunities for self-reflection.
👉 Morning Mindset:
Setting your mental tone before the world gets in.
👉 The Inner Critic:
Recognising negative self-talk and the patterns that undermine your confidence.
👉 Vision & Goals:
Finding your "True North", challenging limiting beliefs and creating a clearer vision for your future.
👉 Limited Beliefs:
Recognising the thoughts and assumptions that make you see obstacles, dead ends and restrictions instead of possibilities and opportunities.
👉 Relationships:
Navigating dating, ghosting, overthinking messages and recognising red flags.
👉 Boundaries:
Recognising when you put other people's needs ahead of your own.
👉 Comparison:
Recognising when other people's achievements make you question your own progress.
👉 Breaking Cycles:
Identifying repeated mistakes and exploring new ways to move forward.
👉 Empty Success:
Understanding why achieving your goals does not always leave you feeling fulfilled.
3/ Everything comes back to the Grid
At the heart of Grid Society is our Universal Grid philosophy, a metaphorical world we've created to represent how we move through life.
This world is divided into three Grids: Grey, Green and Orange. Each represents a different way of thinking, behaving and experiencing life.
We've even created our own Grid vocabulary, with memorable words and expressions that stay in your mind long after you've finished reading an article or attending a workshop.
From recognising your Grey Voices to making Gridmoves, these are words and concepts you can carry into everyday life.
The idea is simple: recognise where you are on the Grid and decide your next move.
4/ More than something to read
Our blog is designed to make inner work and self-reflection part of everyday life.
Depending on the article, you can:
Relate: Discover experiences and situations that feel familiar.
Identify: Recognise recurring patterns in your thinking and behaviour.
Reflect: Explore questions, perspectives and practical exercises that encourage you to look deeper.
Take action: Discover Grid Society tools, workbooks and workshops to help you explore what to do next.
Throughout the blog, you'll also find links to relevant Pattern Recognition Workbooks, Grid Missions and workshops if you want to take your inner work further.
This isn’t just content; it is a toolkit for life.
5/ THISISGRIDLIFE: what it means
THISISGRIDLIFE is the name of our website and blog, but to us, it's much more than just a name we chose.
It's that moment when you catch yourself doing the inner work. When you recognise an old pattern and make a different decision. When an obstacle appears and you overcome it. When you realise you're no longer responding to life in the same way.
And there are levels to
THISISGRIDLIFE.
Grey Gridlife:
When you recognise you're stuck in a pattern and realise it's time to exit.
Green Gridlife:
When you're navigating your way through life, turning the wheel, making decisions and finding your way forward.
Orange Gridlife:
When you're living in alignment with your vision, experiencing gratitude for how far you've come and enjoying the life you've worked to create.
Grey Gridlife.
Green Gridlife. Orange Gridlife.
Wherever you are on the Grid,
