What Is the Pattern Recognition Collection™?
The Pattern Recognition Collection™ is a growing library of downloadable self-reflection workbooks designed to help you recognise recurring patterns in your thoughts, behaviours, relationships and everyday life.

What Is the Pattern Recognition Collection™?
Sometimes the problem is not that there are no options. It is that your thinking has started ruling them out before you have properly explored them.
That will never work.
I have already tried everything.
There is no point starting again.
Maybe this is just how my life is.
When these thoughts keep repeating, it can become difficult to separate what is genuinely impossible from what you have started believing is impossible.
Pattern recognition helps you start separating the two.
That is where pattern recognition begins.

When every direction starts looking blocked

Untangle the invisible
Rather than accepting every dead-end thought as fact, this volume isolates one recurring internal conversation: the belief that there is nowhere left to go.
By looking more closely at the thoughts, behaviours and assumptions connected to limiting beliefs, you can begin to recognise what triggers them, when they appear and what might be keeping them going.
At Grid Society™, we call these recurring patterns Grey Voices™.
One thought at a time
Giving one limiting belief your attention makes it easier to see it clearly, question what you have automatically ruled out and consider whether another possibility exists.
When “I can’t” starts becoming your answer...
Our Grey Voices workshop brought us here...
It Started in Our Workshops
The Pattern Recognition Collection™ grew from our workshops, particularly Confront the Grey Voices™, and from conversations during our training sessions with counsellors.
Again and again, we noticed how quickly people could rule out possibilities, focus on what could go wrong or convince themselves there was no way forward. Different situations, but the internal conversation was often similar.
What sounded like individual problems began to reveal something bigger: recurring patterns in the way people were thinking about what was possible, what was impossible and the options they believed were available to them.
Built around the Grid Society™ concept
The collection is built around the Universal Grid™, our signature Grid Society™ concept. A concept that we have successfully used with counsellors, educators, colleges, universities and professionals.
The Grey Grid™, Green Grid™ and Orange Grid™ provide three different perspectives for exploring your thinking, making recurring patterns easier to recognise and understand.
From workshops to the Pattern Recognition framework
We wanted to take what we were seeing in our workshops and create something people could continue using afterwards. Volume 5 grew from recognising how often people could become caught in thoughts about what they could not do, what would not work and where they believed their options ended.
That became part of the Pattern Recognition framework, turning those recurring internal conversations into a structured, downloadable workbook people can return to whenever the same limiting thoughts and perceived dead ends start showing up again..
3 ways to use Volume 1:
The Limited Beliefs Workbook
How people use the workbook
#1
Morning check-in
Open the Pattern Recognition Matrix™ in the morning and check where your thinking is. Notice whether your mind is already focusing on limitations, obstacles and what cannot happen, then use the matrix to reinforce the thinking you want to take into your day.
#2
Journal beyond the limitation
Use the journalling prompts to identify and challenge the negative thinking behind a perceived dead end. Explore what you have already ruled out, then deliberately look at the opposite: other routes, different possibilities and what could still be possible.
#3
Track the intricacies of your thinking
Use the Pattern Tracker™ to look beyond whether you simply feel more positive or negative. Track the smaller changes in your thoughts, behaviours and responses to see where your thinking is changing, what keeps repeating and where old limiting beliefs are still showing up.
The Workbook Collection is growing...
The collection begins...
The Pattern Recognition Collection™ is a growing collection of practical self-reflection workbooks built around Grid Society’s Universal Grid™ concept.
Designed for real life, the collection can go wherever you do.
Open a workbook on your phone at a café, take it with you on your tablet while travelling, use it on your computer at home or print it when you want to work with pen and paper.
New titles will continue to join the collection, bringing more patterns to explore, more internal conversations to recognise and more workbooks to discover.
The Grid Society™ concept was created by E. Lee and Dr. N. Michelle to provide a structured framework for understanding thinking patterns and acting on them in real time. The Grid Society™ concept, the Pattern Recognition Collection™, the Universal Grid Map of Patterns™, and all associated frameworks, names, concepts, methodologies, original content, and supporting materials are the intellectual property of Grid Society.
