Orange Space Prototype Activated: How one of our Grey Voices™ workshop attendees created her Inner Work space

Updated: Oct 22

“Flat-lay of an organised Inner Work Space featuring a tan leather pouch, notebook, and plant, symbolising calm preparation before a Grid Society workshop.”

At Grid Society, we encourage every workshop attendee to create their own Orange Space (also known as their Inner Work Space) before joining an online session. This small ritual matters. It prepares the mind to sit down with intention, to meet your thoughts fully, and to push for clarity.

By signing up to a Grid Society workshop and creating your Orange Space beforehand, you are not just putting out pens and paper. You are giving yourself permission to pause. A Grid Society workshop is a reminder that you have carved out time and space to think in a structured manner, gather your thoughts, and breathe in a world that constantly demands mental attention.

This quiet act of sitting down and creating your own Inner Work Space becomes one of the most powerful things you can do for your mental health. It allows you to slow down, regain clarity, and open your mind not just to new insights but to your internal insights.

The Original Orange Space Prototype

During one of our early Confront the Grey Voices: Overcome Your Inner Critic workshops, one of our attendees created this beautiful setup and tagged us on Instagram. We were instantly thrilled by the picture because we knew it only takes one to set our standard. This single picture captured the true spirit of an Orange Space. It is meant to be intentional, personal, and alive with focus.

Let’s look at what stood out for us.

Let's inspect this Orange Space Setup

🍊 Laptop with Slide from the Grid Society Presentation

Displayed on her screen is a slide from the Grid Society Confront the Grey Voices presentation. It shows that she is fully locked into her Grid Society workshop environment, ready to begin her session.

🍊 Grid Society Workbook and Orange Folder

Placed neatly inside her orange folder is the official Grid Society Workshop Workbook, printed to guide participants through the structured exercises that coincide with the presentation. It keeps the session focused, flowing, and connected from start to finish, and can also be used as an added tool for continued inner work at home.

🍊 Orange Candle

A small but grounding detail that brings warmth and stillness into her space. It creates an atmosphere of calm focus before reflection begins.

🍊 Vogue Book

Her chosen source of inspiration and visual energy. It reminds us that creativity and mindset work can live side by side, complementing each other beautifully.

🍊 Keepsake Bracelet

A personal anchor tied to her why, her reason for doing the work. It sits within her space as a quiet reminder of purpose and motivation.

🍊 Grid Society Branding

A compulsory addition to any Orange Space setup. Our branding is visible both on her laptop screen and within her workbook materials. It carries intentional energy throughout the environment. This is the signature detail that defines every Grid Society experience.

Fast Forward: Your Orange Space

We love seeing your Orange Spaces created before each Grid Society workshop, but our hope is that you continue your inner work journey in this same rhythm long after the session ends. Whether you are just starting or already devoted to your practice, let this be the project that grows with you, one reflection at a time.

New to Inner Work at Home

If you are just beginning your inner work journey, we hope this inspires you to start. Create your Orange Space as your first step, a calm and intentional corner where reflection begins and clarity starts to form. Let it remind you that your thoughts deserve structure and time.

Prolific Inner Worker at Home

For those who already practise inner work, may this breathe new life into your existing rhythm. Refresh your setup, refine your atmosphere, and continue evolving your Orange Space so it reflects who you are becoming. Your space is proof that consistency, focus, and self-awareness can live beautifully together.
