3 Things you must remember after leaving the Grid Society Building Boundaries Workshop

Updated: Jul 31

What happens after the workshop ends?

Just like we showed you at the very start, you should now be thinking of your boundaries in three time zones. Past. Present. Future.

Allow us to explain...

REVIEW THE PAST

You have built boundaries before. The proof is in your Orange-Green Boundary Scan reflections. You have done it before and with new tools, you can do it again, more consciously.

LOOK IN THE PRESENT

You are currently standing in the 'building new boundaries' zone. This is where old habits try to return and the new boundaries you are setting are tested. Stand on your standards.

SEE YOUR FUTURE

You no longer set boundaries. You embody them. From this point on, your role is not to explain your standards. It is to honour them through action, consistency and presence.

Let’s Go Deeper...

THE PAST:

What you have already built...

Start here.

Before you get overwhelmed by what is still left to build, acknowledge what you have already done. Inside the Building Boundaries Workshop, you named moments where boundaries were already in place, even if they went unrecognised at the time. Those moments were not random. They were evidence. You already have boundary skills.

Grid Society reminds you: Now is the time to trust what you remembered and build from that foundation.

THE PRESENT:

Where you are now...

This is your construction zone. The active phase. The place where the real, gritty work happens. You are standing face-to-face with boundaries that need to be implemented. Often, they are tied to years of emotional mismanagement. Repeated cycles. Quiet self-abandonment.

But now you have clarity. You understand the grey overspill, that blurry emotional space where things became too flexible, too soft, too accommodating. This is the phase where action matters.

It may not feel neat or complete. It may look like one hard conversation. One difficult pause. One restructure of your calendar. Be strategic. Be grounded. Take your time. And think ahead.

  • What are the potential pushbacks?

  • Who might test the new you?

  • Where might guilt try to sneak in?

Grid Society reminds you: You are rebuilding your Building Boundaries and inner architecture. Be brave.

THE FUTURE:

Where you are headed...

This is the time zone we are most excited about because this is where the strongest version of you begins to emerge.

From here on, you are boundary aware. You know the language. You know the frameworks.

You know what alignment feels like in your body. You do not need to perform your boundaries. You become them. There is no need for loud announcements. No dramatic exits. No emotional explanations. Just quiet, grounded execution.

You are clear.

You are steady.

You are aligned.

You are no longer negotiating your peace. You are protecting your nervous system, your capacity, and your future.

Grid Society reminds you: This is where you stop explaining and start living it.

Past. Present. Future.
