GRIDLAW 6: Find Your Tribe, Know Your Tribe, Be a Great Tribe Member
On the Grid, there are three essential seasons of tribe friendships: the season of finding your tribe, the season of knowing your tribe, and the season of being a great tribe member. Your tribe is not just made up of people you love—they are the super-special ones who actively propel you forward in your journey. A tribe begins with just one person, and together you can navigate the world and even change it. They make navigating the Grid easier, more meaningful, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding. We like to call them your physical angels on earth, positioned to push you into your destiny.
Find Your Tribe
When you are on a serious growth mission, you may need to find a new tribe. The season of rerouting has just occurred—you are shedding old friends, old visions, old habits, and old environments. During these times, you may feel lonely or isolated but do not waste your energy wondering where everyone is. Instead, use these seasons to focus on building yourself so that when you find your tribe, you can step into it as a great tribe member. As you grow and begin to shine, your tribe will naturally be drawn to you.
Tribe Member Qualities
Always keep an eye open for potential tribe members—they only need to passionately display one of these qualities:
Believe in you.
Push you to step out of your comfort zone.
Deliver truths, even when they are hard to hear.
Endlessly encourage you.
Inspire you.
Strategise with you.
Hold you accountable.
Refuse to be "yes" people.
Know Your Tribe
While you may have many loved ones, it is essential to be clear—"Yes, I love you, and you, but who is truly in my tribe? Who is my growth go-to?" Your tribe consists of those who align with your vision and are genuinely invested in your growth.
Take the time to recognise their contributions and the unique ways they support you. Understand each tribe member and the value they bring with clarity, so you never take them for granted or compare them with others. Remember, we are all unique, and so is every member of your tribe.
Be a Great Tribe Member
The work begins with you. Being a great tribe member will challenge you to work on yourself. You must be ready to do the deep work required to bring your best self to the table. A tribe is not just about what others bring to you—it is also about what you contribute.
Ask yourself:
Do you let others know you believe in them without being asked?
Do you push others to achieve, even if it takes them further than you?
Can you deliver truths and handle harsh truths in return?
Do you encourage others to keep going—randomly and sincerely?
Do you show up for others in whatever way you can?
Being a great tribe member means investing in others with the same energy and dedication you expect to receive.

Finding your tribe, knowing their value, and being a great tribe member is essential for moving across the Grid. Whether it starts with one person or grows into a larger circle, your tribe is there to challenge, support, and uplift you.
